About Us

We are a combination of several funeral service families brought together to serve the area. From the beginning of Quinn Funeral Home in 1901 to the gathering of Ortner Funeral Home, Doyle Funeral Home and the formation of Nunn & McGrath Funeral Directors we have been a part of Utica and surrounding communities.

Betty Nunn, with her husband Jim, in 1952, bought the Quinn & Ryan Funeral Home and it became the Quinn, Ryan and Nunn Funeral Home until present day. Betty has had over 50 years in funeral service.

In 1988 Chris and Debbie McGrath purchased the Ortner Funeral Home and in 1990 formed Nunn & McGrath Funeral Directors. The Doyle Funeral Home was acquired in 1991. To accommodate the growing and changing funeral business, a new facility was built on French Road. Also, in 1996 the Myslinski Funeral Home joined the facility.

Tom and Barb Myslinski started their business in 1963 when they purchased the former Swiatek Funeral Home on Columbia Street. Today it is a diverse group of people and businesses whose mission is to provide comfort and offer options to families who need our assistance.
